In this post I will tell you all about printables, where to find them and why you should use them.

What is a printable?

A printable is a digital file that can be printed on a physical medium, such as paper or fabric.

You can print out printables at home, at work or in any stores that provide the service like Staples, CVS or even Wal-mart.

Printables can take many forms, including artwork, documents, invitations, coloring pages, and more. They are typically created in a design or editing software and then exported as a file format that can be printed, such as a PDF or JPEG.

The most common printables you will find online are are either PDF, PNG or JPG format.

Some printables can also be edited before printing to customize the content or layout. These are templates and many customers, who are looking for personalization, will buy these types of printables.

Who can use printables?

Before I started selling printables, I would regularly make handouts for my class. I would design them on google slides or docs and then print them out. I was making printables.

Anyone can and should use printables. A printable can be a worksheet for a student, a checklist for a business owner to complete a task, a menu for a restaurant or even a chore chart or list for a busy family.

In fact, there are many professionals and businesses that already use printables on a daily basis. When you visit a doctor to check on your blood pressure, they may provide you with a chart to track your levels everyday. That chart is a printable.

Where can I find printables?

If you do a search online, you can find free printables like the ones I make and put on this blog or paid printables that you can purchase online. You can purchase templates on places like Etsy (this is where I sell) or Teachers Pay Teachers.

If you want to get started selling printables you can check out my course Start a Printable Biz. Printables make a great passive income source because you only have to create once and then you can make sales forever.
